Accomplishments

The Enterprise Community is having a huge impact on our 5 counties. The EC has generated over $151,968,491 in grants and loans for our region. The effect of this can be seen in the dozens of new and existing programs that have received funding. The EC has awarded $237,751 in grants in the five county region since its designation in 1999. Grant applications are March 31st and September 30th.

If you would like to see exactly where all EC funding has gone, please download our Benchmark Funding Chart. Otherwise, please explore the 4 sections below for a brief synopsis of what the EC has done and is doing.

EC Grant Program

The EC board has already provided over $237,751 in funding to organizations in our community. These funds have been used for everything from library books to truck simulation equipment. If you are interested in seeing just how much has been funded so far, or if you might be interested in funding yourself, visit our grant information page.

Services

The EC board and staff have chosen to offer a handful of services directly to the community. For a list of services and how to obtain them, visit our services page.

Kool Kids Art Camp is one of a number of programs funded but the EC.

Projects and Studies

The EC board has initiated a number of projects and studies. These projects have been designed to assess the needs of the community, recruit new business, increase tourism, and extend the life of the Enterprise Community.

Federal Grants

The EC has helped to bring $151 million in additional funding to our community through non-EC federal funds. Grant seeking organizations can gain valuable points on requests for Federal Funds, or access special earmarked funds, if they can show that their plans fit into the plan of an Enterprise Community or Empowerment Zone.

Tax Incentives

Did you know that businesses that are in the EC area or hire EC residents can receive tax incentives? If you are a business, and think that this might apply to you, download the following document on EC/EZ Tax Incentives, or email us at cpec@clinchpowell.net.
