Accomplishments: Federal Grants

The federal government will give extra points to proposals for projects that address one or more benchmarks in the Enterprise Community Strategic Plan. There are also federal funds available only to Enterprise Communities and Empowerment Zones. This gives organizations that serve the Enterprise Community a clear advantage in applying for federal grants.

If a project fits one of the benchmarks of the strategic plan (located in the Plan Matrix), it can receive a letter of support from the EC. This letter will provide extra points that the federal government uses to assess grants.

The following is a list of projects funded through federal grants. Over $28 million in federal funds have been awarded so far. A letter of support from the EC played a major role in the awarding of these grants in this area.
